Big World notches third straight victory
RACE REPLAY IS NOT AVAILABLE
HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Big World, a Grade 3 winner based at Fair Grounds, invaded Oaklawn for the first time Thursday and won a high-end optional-claiming route for fillies and mares, proving 1 1/2 lengths best over the graded stakes-placed Taxable.
“I was pleased,” said Tom Amoss, who trains Big World. “[Taxable] is a really nice horse. I was happy with the outcome.”
Big World was winning her third straight race, a streak that started in the $100,000 Louisiana Champions Day Ladies at Fair Grounds in December and includes the $100,000 Premier Night Distaff at Delta Downs in February. She could move back into stakes company in the near future, Amoss said.
“We’ll get her back home and make sure she’s fine and make decisions from there,” he said Friday.
Big World is a four-time stakes winner who races for Maggi Moss.
