The $2 pick six at Los Alamitos on Saturday begins with a carryover of $17,050.
The carryover was assured on Friday after the third of the six races in the sequence when Perfecto Amor ($101.40) edged 2-5 One Smokin Dude in an $8,000 claimer for sprinters.
In the preceding race, Stay for the Boom ($23.80) recorded an upset.
Saturday’s pick six races covers the fourth through ninth races on a program that begins at 1 p.m. Pacific. The sequence includes the meeting’s richest race, the Grade 2 Great Lady M. Stakes for fillies and mares at 6 1/2 furlongs. The $200,000 Great Lady M. Stakes is the eighth race.
Saturday’s pick six races have maximum fields of 8, 10,7, 9, 7, and 10 before scratches. The pool of new money may surpass $125,000.
