Big-fig maiden winner Another Time looks formidable

ETOBICOKE, Ontario – Another Time, the co-fastest 2-year-old in Canada this year Beyer-wise, should be favored in Friday’s six-furlong allowance feature for 2-year-old fillies at Woodbine.
Another Time rallied inside to dead heat for third when favored in her six-furlong opener here Oct. 21. She put it all together in a subsequent seven-furlong maiden special, scoring with ease by 5 ¾ lengths. The 83 Beyer Speed Figure she earned tied Bold Script for the highest this year in Canada.
“The first one, she missed the break from the rail,” trainer Barb Minshall said. “She hopped at the start, and ended up chasing. She should have won that day. Then, she came back and got the win. She had a better post. I was pretty happy with that race. She’s a quality filly. I do think she’ll stretch out. I didn’t really want to come back to three-quarters, but hopefully this works out. We have a lot of hope for her. I just wish she didn’t draw the rail again.”
Minshall also entered Tallulah Darling in the headliner, which goes as the eighth on a 10-race card on the final Friday program of the meet.

Beyers: 83-60
◗ Minshall said the $110,000 Keeneland yearling purchase has come a long way since shipping in a little later than the trainer’s other juveniles.
“She’s grown a lot,” Minshall said. “She’s become a big, scopey filly compared to when she first arrived. I think she’s still going to mature quite a bit.”

Last 3 Beyers: 60-61-16
◗ She graduated over six furlongs in her fourth race Nov. 2. Three weeks later, Minshall ran her against males after an allowance for fillies failed to fill, and she wound up fourth before a demotion to sixth by disqualification.
“She’s been training really well,” Minshall said. “She’s a Canadian-bred. We figured that we’d give her this race, give her a little break, and then have her ready early next year. She’s done plenty. This will be her sixth race.”
