Big Drama to miss Holy Bull

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. - Big Drama, winner of the Delta Jackpot in his 2-year-old finale and currently among the leading Kentucky Derby contenders, will miss his scheduled start next Saturday in Gulfstream Park's Grade 3 Holy Bull.

The 1 1/8-mile Holy Bull is the first major test of the winter for 3-year-olds stabled in south Florida.

Trainer David Fawkes said that Big Drama kicked himself in the shin. "It's nothing major but it forces me to miss a scheduled work on Sunday," he said. "It's just a little bump in the road."

Big Drama won five of six starts at 2, including all three legs of the open division of the Florida Stallion Stakes. He is owned by his breeder Harold Queen.

"Right now we have no definite plans and my owner said he is no rush with this horse," Fawkes said. "What's most important is that he has a nice horse for the rest of the year."
