Horseplayers should consider ringing in the new year with DRF Tournaments.DRFT will be running a special holiday schedule this Sunday and Monday, in conjunction with New Year&rsquo;s Eve and New Year&rsquo;s Day. There will also be a full slate of games on Saturday, highlighted by a $220 Round 1 contest for the Pegasus World Cup Betting Challenge, where players can buy in for $220 and one in five will advance to the Jan. 1 one&#45;day Pegasus qualifier.On Sunday, New Year&rsquo;s Eve, the featured game is a Grade 1 qualifier for the World Championship of Handicapping, DRF&rsquo;s $1 million, no&#45;takeout, online contest. It costs $580 to play in Sunday&rsquo;s qualifier and one in 10 entries will go on to the $5,000 WCH finals, to be held Feb. 3&#45;4, exclusively online at DRF Tournaments. Players looking to win their way in to the Grade 1 qualifiers have the option of playing in Round 1 events for $95 where one in seven will go through. There are also feeders for the Round 1&rsquo;s.Also on Sunday, there will be another Round 1 for the Pegasus Challenge, as well as a one&#45;day qualifier for the Horse Player World Series. For the HPWS game, players put up $94 and one in 19 go on to the big event, held March 8&#45;10 at Orleans Las Vegas.On Monday, the Pegasus Challenge qualifier takes center stage. Players have the option of buying in directly for $960 and one in 15 entries will win their $12,000 buy&#45;ins plus an additional $500 in travel. The Pegasus World Cup Betting Challenge takes place at Gulfstream Park on Jan. 26&#45;27. The entire $12,000 will act as a live&#45;bankroll for the event &ndash; there is no separate entry fee.In addition to the featured games, DRFT will be hosting match&#45;up contests, credit&#45;builders, and winner&#45;take&#45;all contests throughout the three&#45;day weekend.
