Big Beyer for Bobby's Wicked One in Thanksgiving Classic

Bobby’s Wicked One beat only two foes winning the $100,000 Thanksgiving Classic on Thursday, but he ran a sharp six furlongs in 1:08.68, a raw time that produced a 100 Beyer Speed Figure, equaling Bobby’s Wicked One’s career best.
Trainer Al Stall said Friday that Bobby’s Wicked One had come out of that performance, his second start following an extended layoff, in good shape.
“That’s a tough little horse,” Stall said.
Bobby’s Wicked One tentatively is being pointed to the Duncan Kenner Stakes on Jan. 18 at Fair Grounds.
Stall had a second winner Thursday with first-time starter Binding Agreement, a Louisiana-bred 2-year-old by Bind who cruised to a 7 3/4-length victory in a statebred-restricted maiden race. Binding Agreement ran 5 1/2 furlongs on dirt in 1:04.19, earning a 75 Beyer. Stall said Binding Agreement would start Dec. 14 in the Louisiana Champions Day Juvenile.
“We’ll keep a close eye on him, but he just kind of galloped down the lane,” Stall said, referring to the ease of Binding Agreement’s victory.
Synchrony back for more
Synchrony is back at Fair Grounds with trainer Mike Stidham and could race as soon as the Dec. 21 Buddy Diliberto Memorial Stakes, Stidham said.
Synchrony got a month-long break after finishing eighth, beaten only 1 1/2 lengths, in the City of Hope Mile on Oct. 6 at Santa Anita.
Six-year-old Synchrony has won four of his five starts over the Fair Grounds grass course, including the Grade 2 Muniz Memorial in 2018. He finished third in the 2019 Muniz, which was won by Bricks and Mortar.
