Beyondallboundarys takes Dearly Precious at Monmouth

OCEANPORT, N.J. - Beyondallboundarys beat Whoopi Kitten by 2 1/4 lengths on Friday in the $93,000 Dearly Precious Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Monmouth Park.

Paco Lopez, as hot as the sweltering afternoon on the Jersey Shore, was aboard for one of his four winners on the card.

The Dearly Precious, scheduled for last Sunday, did not fill. The racing office brought it back, and the six-furlong race went off with six runners.

Whoopi Kitten, the 13-10 favorite, broke sharply and set the fractions under Joe Bravo.

The least experienced member of the field, Whoopi Kitten was making only her third start. She ran well, but could not hold off Beyondallboundarys who had closely stalked her every step before taking over in the final sixteenth.

Beyondallboundarys paid $5.40 to win for her second straight victory. She was making her stakes debut following a first-level allowance at Churchill Downs for trainer Tom Amoss.

The time was 1:10.18

Southern Truth was third followed by Happy Week, Vindy City, and Dances With Ashley.
