Beulah: Repeat for Count on My Word

Defending champion Count on My Word ($5) took advantage of a ground-saving trip under jockey Ernest Oro and rallied to score a three-quarter-length victory over even-money favorite Go Johnny Go in the $40,000 Ruff/Kirchberg Memorial Handicap at Beulah Park.

Count on My Word saved ground racing in midpack to the stretch before angling out approaching the final furlong and rallying to win. He covered the 1 1/4 miles in 2:05.84.

Bobby Ranwick Jr. trains Count on My Word, who scored his eighth career victory from 32 starts.
