Beulah Park: Hamm runners go 1-2 in Royal North

The Tim Hamm-trained entry of Significant Bling and Blazing Bling finished a half-length apart in front of the competition in the $50,000 Royal North for Ohio bred 3-year-old fillies at Beulah Park Saturday.

Significant Bling prompted the pace three wide while Blazing Bling stalked the pace four wide early. The pair, both Blazing Meadow Farm homebreds, hooked up in midstretch and had an old-fashioned stretch duel to the wire, with Significant Bling, under Deshawn Parker, holding the half-length lead over Blazing Bling, ridden by Rafael Mojica Jr. It was 1 3/4 lengths back to Uptown Gal in third.

The running time for the six-furlong event was 1.12.00 over a fast track and the entry returned $2.20 to win.
