Beulah: Lady Cherie beats boys

GROVE CITY, Ohio - The filly Lady Cherie took command three furlongs from home and coasted to a seven-length victory over seven male rivals in Saturday's $45,000 Ruff/Kirchberg Handicap for Ohio-breds at Beulah Park.

Julio Felix rode Lady Cherie ($2.80) to victory. She covered the 1 1/4 miles in 2:02.87. Michael Nance trains Lady Cherie, who now has 11 wins from 22 starts and earnings of $368,700 for owner M. Y. Stable Inc.
