LILLY’S PERFECT (#5, 5-2) blew the start as the 5-2 favorite in a similar spot at SA Oct. 10 but to her credit kept to her task to finish 3rd, and the gal she chased home that day (Miss Well Molded) came right back to win smartly here last weekend. She has ample tactical speed so surely with a better start she’ll be in good position from the bell. Mulhall claimed her for $12,500 2 races back (Aug. 3), tried her for this price Oct. 10 (the aforementioned troubled 3rd) and KEEPS her at this same price for this assignment, which is most encouraging, as is the fact Bejarano stays put. -Michael Hammersly
