Betfair Hollywood: Closer Looks for December 1, 2013

DRF Staff|Nov 30, 2013

Race 1

Heyyoucan
Just missed while settling for the runner up spot again going a bit longer at this level in his local return; gelding is a quick breaker so he should be able to secure a decent spot from the inside draw just off a couple of speedsters; looks like the one they'll have to beat.
Horse Laugh
Gelding came up less than 2 lengths short behind the rail runner when returning from the freshening for his first crack at the level; there is some speed in here and maybe that helps, but unless he catches some breaks at this shorter trip a minor award figures to be his ceiling.
Oh Daddy Oh
Looked pretty good breaking his maiden by open lengths over the Santa Anita dirt as the chalk; like the speed he showed in that one and he did flaunt his lick on synthetic footing first out at Del Mar, but the guy drawn next door has shown himself to be pretty quick as well so he may have his hands full from the bell; barn's second runner in here is the one to run down.
Oneandonlyloveman
Showed improved lick when shades were added on the drop to claimers for his first start since the spring and never looked back gelding will tackle winners for the first time in this spot and he draws outside his main pace foe which will present him with a challenge from the outset; he does own the advantage of being the lone local winner, though.
Easy Topper
Hood comes off this beaten odds on chalk who came up with little late in his last at the level at Golden Gate; maybe the equipment change helps him settle a bit more and he did break his maiden from a tracking spot; worth a look at a much improved price.
Storm Comin Thru
Offered a sharp late kick to break his maiden in a slow Fairplex claimer second out and now he'll make his first synthetic start under the care of a new barn; outfit does hit at a decent clip with this type and Bejarano shows interest, but his local surface drills aren't very impressive for his return against winners.
Harbaugh
Outside drawn colt tries winners for the first time off the claim by an outfit that hits at a big clip with this type right back; barn's second runner in here worked ok over the local main track for his initial synthetic spin and though he needed the drop to claimers to win, he was impressive in doing so on the front end on the turn back; consider.

Race 2

Tribal Dress
Miss has the speed to flee the fail and she has the two races now to draw from; game in the October win and note the place horse was clear for fun that day; there are others with designs on the top, note the O'Neill runner sizzled down the hill two back; probably needs to improve to cash.
Midnight Lady
Proven locally and she has been more into the bit of late; off fence this time, she kept her legs moving with the drill on the 22nd and Rosario has had good success for Sadler; could easily be enticed into gimmick action at least.
J K's Mischief
First time for sale since she broke her maiden; she graduated on the synthetic at the beach, and may just not be ready to handle grass at this point in time; could see her sitting a nice trip, maybe right off the leader with first shot at the lead if that one gives it up; interesting.
Magestic Stinger
Consistent, she has been carefully placed by patient barn; one of her better assets is she can be placed anywhere and still perform; a repeat of any of the 3 last Beyers would put her inthe thick of it.
Pebble Beach Baby
First time under purchase price today; she does have to prove she can win on this circuit; considering the cut back and the surface switch, miss may be left with a ton of work to do turning for the wire; decent blowout on the 25th could have her on her toes; look for her late if at all.
Coco de Carchy
Versatile and dangerous on the jump today; quick enough to tow rope the rivals in the first win, miss showed a new wrinkle last time relaxing after breaking poorly and then just exploding; drawn where rider doesn't have to overreact early and can see how the race is unfolding; repeat well within the scope.

Race 3

Chasing the Heat
Held on for the place at this trip November 9, but overall form has been much better on dirt (3-for-8) than synthetic (0-for-6). Last was his first on Cushion Track, so improvement is possible. Inside post is no bargain and trainer is 0-for-28 this year.
Would You
Given two months off by Mike Pender, who is 25 per cent and a $2.58 ROI with two-to-six month layoffs. Has been on a steady diet of routes, however Pender has a flat-bet profit ($2.16 ROI) moving from route to sprint. Talamo won with the 5-year-old at Del Mar and has clicked at 20 per cent with a $2.41 ROI for this trainer since the start of 2012.
Half Dome Dude
Overtaken late by real pro Big Wags in a $10,000 starter allowance at Santa Anita November 3 and follows that one up the ladder. Note that Bob Hess won with the Kela gelding for $10,000 October 13, protected him in a starter allowance and now runs him for $20,000. All in all, a positive pattern.
Dress Code
Two seconds in a pair of starts on Cushion Track, but 0-for-3 at this distance. Better form last year, but did run well here for $25,000 during the Spring/Summer meeting. Drops a notch for Mike Puype and Espinoza tripled Thursday.
Yomybato
Recent stuff poor and didn't show that much improvement when dropped into a claimer for the first time November 23. Moves further down for Mike Pender, who also starts Would You. Mineshaft gelding is no stranger to upsets, having pulled off a 25-1 shocker at 7 1-2 furlongs on Cushion Track during the summer.
Magic Beam
Certainly popular at the claim box. The 6-year-old has been claimed in six of his last seven. Andy Mathis took him off a victory for this price October 19. Trained steadily at Golden Gate since his last and has a solid record (7 2-2-1) at this distance. Scored under similar conditions on Cushion Track May 27.
Big Wags
Razor sharp veteran wins where ever he goes. Has been first or second in 21 of 48 starts, a record that is mirrored on Cushion Track (15 4-5-2). Just won at this trip, his second victory at the distance. Class move from $10,000 starter allowance to $20,000 open isn't that much of a jump. Two maintenance works since ran.

Race 4

Mikey T
Been best on synthetic surfaces while racing evenly on today's BHP turf course in latest; has been working well on BHP synthetic for this; late runner did get rolling in latest late when breaking outside but will be able to save ground for this then make one run.
Snaps
Just 2 races during career so still has upside with latest a strong improvement upon the debut 1st time on turf where he led most of the way; hopes to sit just behind Seamark before getting 1st run on the closers; great sign that a sizzling-BHP rider keeps the mount here; cutting back 1F adds to the appeal on the pick.
Well Lawyered
Sire is 5-for-55 with 1st-turf starters; dam did not race on grass (1-for-12, 53K); 2 foals to race on grass are 0-for-20 combined; was outfinished at longer in latest so cutting back to 1 Mile is a plus but grass is a ?; the debut winner and runner-up Beyered 88-83 in next-out SAR-G2 and MSW wins.
Maxx the Giant
Back to BHP grass which is the oval of his exacta finish at today's distance in June; the runner-up, 4th and 8th-place finishers from last Beyered 80-78-76 in next-out SA-MSW and 50K-maiden-claiming wins; 65 days since latest rally for a 10%-winning fresh trainer.
Pot Roast
Sire is 7-for-76 with 1st-turf starters; 8-for-99 with 1st-time starters; is the 1st foal out of a 4-0-0-0 dam who went 2-0-0-0 on grass; has been working steadily for the unveiling for a sizzling-BHP barn.
Fast Mast
Saves best Beyer for last but lost ground from start to finish without making any impact on today's turf course at the distance; the 0-for-39 grass trainer since 2012 does not help the confidence level rematching from the loss vs. Seamark in October.
Just Fishin
54 days since tiring on dirt vs. the runner-up finisher who Beyered 86 in his next-out BHP-MSW win; been best on turf so willing to excuse latest and should improve upon that effort here; likely will need a race off the bench to see very-best form.
Wicked Finance
Posted the field's best Beyer for last when rallying well at longer than this on a synthetic surface; the new-grass oval and cutting back to 1 Mile are the concerns; sire is 43-for-406 with 1st-turf starters; SW dam did not race on grass (4-for-8, 181K); her only foal to race on turf is 0-for-1 grasser Prenuptial.
Seamark
1st Lasix after offering gate speed but faulty stamina from first trio; is the one to catch with Snaps likely pressing hard from the bell; the 2-back runner-up finisher Beyered 80 in his next-out BHP-MSW win; figures to take these a long way up top hanging on best during career in his only other grass start; rider is 0-for-13 at BHP for the trainer since 2012.

Race 5

Buds Pal
Major leap up the totem pole today for this gelding who is in good form but does have back class to consider; he has only one lifetime score at this common distance though and is bound to face immediate pace pressure; streak is in danger.
Hasty Trend
Has been shut out all year long but finally goes black to blinkers and the latest blowout was a vast improvement; still has a long way to go as far as recapturing last season's performance levels; pass for now.
King Maya
Just broke through the n2l condition condition but survived an intense battle for the lead when doing so; spots weight to more experienced rivals, usually a major negative, yet is a maturing runner who has shown a distinct preference for this course; respect.
Space Runner
Could not keep pace with Zip Cat last month although he might have been compromised somewhat by rail position that day; must add 11 pounds from that effort and a sudden reversal just does not seem likely; may need some key late scratches in order to earn a share.
Teasing Bernie
Failed to hit the board this year and the recent workout activity is only moderate; doubt he can make a major impact here as his overall Beyer pattern comes up way short of the mark; cannot endorse as a strong candidate.
Private Bounty
Beaten favorite can atone today if able to receive a clear stalking journey; owns a solid lifetime exacta record at this oval and did not have a clean trip in the last venture; veteran gelding seems worth inclusion if all the pure speeds remain in attendance.
Cypriot
Not sure why he is entered here as he is eligible for the soft n2l condition and his maiden breaker was accomplished in modest time; has upgraded since the removal of blinkers but still looks like a remote possibility today.
Crestatorre
Another one-time winner facing much more successful runners today; quit early in his last assignment and although seven furlongs is not his ideal distance, this cutback will likely not make any difference; cannot recommend.
Street Car
This war-horse is a 9-time winner who might have been best in that last run at Fresno; ran against much better stock here last season and turned in some superior local workouts during the last month; should be within range today.
Zip Cat
Tough beat nearly a month ago when dissuading an early challenge and appearing home free in mid-stretch only to be nailed late; grinding type of runner will prove tough if able to clear the inside speed types; reverts to Maldonado who was aboard for the first score; obvious true contender.
Justa Gusta
Respectable even effort last time out despite traffic trouble; unlucky sophomore is still in search of his first exacta finish over the course but his chances may improve dramatically here if reserved further off the leaders in the early stages; should offer betting value.
Bertran Hill
Part of an early pace war with Justa Gusta recently, he faded from view; statebred has been mired in a long drought but is another back-classy possibility in this field; seems worth some trifecta play based on the lifetime portfolio.
Ithoughtipaidyou
Long layoff and difficult post position to overcome and although the recent gate workout was strong, it probably won't be enough; he has no known rating gear and will probably be dissuaded by other rivals intent on the early lead; wait until he finds a softer spot.

Race 6

Dice Flavor
Took him a while to regain his form after an unsuccessful trip to Dubai, but ran the race of his life in winning the Grade II La Jolla Handicap at Del Mar. Followed up that victory with poor efforts in the Del Mar Derby and Twilight Derby. Mediocre work tab for this and would really need to turn it around to contend.
Infinite Magic
For every huge effort, the Team Valor International colorbearer has thrown in a real dud. Was distanced in the Peter Pan Stakes and Hawthorne Derby, though his race in the Peter Pan could be discounted because it was on a sloppy track. When he's good, he's very good, as evidenced by game victories over Admiral Kitten in an allowance race and the Grade III American Derby. Who will show up today, Jekyll or Hyde?
Gervinho
Won a division of the Oceanside Stakes at Del Mar and did well in both the Del Mar Derby and Twilight Derby. May have needed his last and Carla Gaines has done well (25 per cent, $2.39 ROI) off similar layoffs. This race came up light on speed and the Unusual Heat colt could find himself on the lead. Has sparkled in his recent workouts and Gaines once again tabs leading rider Rafael Bejarano, who wins at 24 per cent for this outfit.
Jack Milton
Winner of the Grade III Transylvania at Keeneland in April and more recently third in both the Jamaica Handicap and Secretariat Stakes. Footnotes document trouble in his last two--steadied in the Jamaica and five wide on the first turn in the Secretariat. Rosario was aboard in the Secretariat and flies in from the east coast to rejoin the War Front colt for Todd Pletcher.
Seek Again
Kentucky bred, English raced colt is the wild card in the field. Didn't face Group competition overseas, but earned better Racing Post Ratings than Infinite Magic. Won his European finale at York and with John Gosden training, must be respected.
Admiral Kitten
Earnings of $559,080 are nearly double that of his nearest rival. Worse than second only once, when he finished last in the Battaglia at Turfway Park after stumbling at the start. Son of prolific turf sire Kitten's Joy defeated Jack Milton in his last two--the Grade I Secretariat and Grade I Jamaica. Continues to train smartly for Michael Maker and Julien Leparoux returns to California to ride.
Dry Summer
Cross-entered in an optional claimer Thursday, but trainer Jeff Mullins opted for this more difficult spot. Main claim to fame is a victory in a minor stakes at Sunland Park in February. More recently was a close fourth in the Grade II Twilight Derby. His primary asset is the ability to race up close on what figures to be a snail-like pace.
Amen Kitten
All out to win the ungraded Tropical Park Derby at Calder last out. When pitched against the likes of these, the Wesley Ward trainee has had little success. Race shape is against him and Castellano in the irons not enough to give him a second look.
Rookie Sensation
Stepped up from an optional claiming victory to post an 8-1 upset in the Grade II Twilight Derby November 1, defeating several of these. Might have needed the race, as well. Improving each start and likely hasn't hit his peak yet. In the hands of veteran horseman John Shirreffs and must be strongly considered.
Irish Surf
Seems up against it in here. Moves from inside to outside and hasn't hit the board in two stakes tries. Hasn't trained as fast recently as he did in October. This trainer-rider tandem is only batting 4 per cent since the start of 2012. May be part of the early pace, but hard to like.

Race 7

Tale of Power
Sire is 4-for-66 with 1st-time starters; is out of a 6-for-33 stakes-placed dam (225K) who produced 4 winners from 6 other foals to race including 73K-earner Castillo Del Sol (1-for-13); latest-gate workout was easily the best on the tab.
Magic Mark
Sire is 68-for-502 with 1st-time starters; is out of a 3-for-46 dam (20K) who produced 3 winners from 3 other foals to race including 37K-earner Olympic Magic (2-for-25); posted a mild worktab for a 1-for-29 debut trainer since 2012.
Forest Boy
Best Beyer of career was posted at today's distance but on dirt; latest on today's BHP synthetic surface was his worst Beyer since September 2012; worked well on dirt for this and the main track has clearly been his best surface.
Proven Warrior
Primed for this on grass; June's field-best Beyer was accomplished at today's distance on BHP synthetic; the 2-back runner-up finisher Beyered 78 in his next-out SA-MSW win; the 3-back winner and runner-up both won next out in DMR-100K stakes and MSW wins with 92-82 speed figures.
Battled
The runner-up and 6th-place finishers from last Beyered 94-78 in next-out SA-CD-MSW wins; long absence off the dirt fade and held on much better when racing on today's BHP-synthetic surface beating the show runner who won his next 3 races (109-98-91 Beyers) including a BHP-71K stakes.
Handsome Dennis
Not a good sign that the return to BHP synthetic for last produced a career-low Beyer; the debut winner on dirt made it 4 in a row with 87-86-84 Beyers taking all stakes victories; has been way off best form when racing on synthetic and while should improve 2nd time back off the 89-day layoff others appeal more.
China Girl Lover
The winner, runner-up and 9th-place finishers from last Beyered 89-82-75 Beyers in next-out SA-MSW, optional claiming and DMR-50K-maiden-claiming wins; long layoff for a trainer 0-for-9 since 2012 with this angle; will be taking a wait and see approach.
Secretsatmidnight
Cuts back 2F to his shortest-distance test since the debut; latest was his best Beyer ever and a good sign 1st time racing on a synthetic surface; off latest style suggests cutting back in distance should help the cause; 3 trouble lines to start career so a clean trip could provide a lot stronger finish.

Race 8

Egg Drop
Multiple graded stakes winner was all heart in getting the job done in the Goldikova in her latest outing and she deserves a lot of credit for the way that she was able to keep herself from engaging pacesetter E Z Kitty through the opening stages, and that one tired to finish last; prefer to lean toward others for the top spot, but can't count this tough-minded miss out of it.
Discreet Marq
It looks like she's going to need to hope that a few of these show up with less than their best to get the job done in this spot and it might be worth noting the presence of Leparoux aboard another in here when considering that he was aboard for a G1 victory at Del Mar three starts back; have plenty of respect for this Generazio homebred, but others entice more.
Wishing Gate
She's stepped up her game nicely in recent starts and she's earned multiple graded stakes winning credentials with her sharp recent form; still feel that she's going to have to show more to get the better of this field, but not going to be surprised if she's making some noise through the lane.
My Gi Gi
Grade 2 winner has been a consistent performer and she hasn't run poorly against a number of today's rivals in her turf starts; however, in a race where the winner figures to earn a Beyer Speed Figure in the upper 90's, or possibly into the 100's, she's topped out at 88.
Tiz Flirtatious
Grade 1 winning mare has to be respected as a top contender, and things just didn't work out for her in the BC F&M Turf as the combination of a slower early pace and traffic trouble prevented her from having a chance to make a serious bid for the top prize; maybe the turnback in distance isn't ideal, but she appears to be as sharp as ever right now, and she'll have Rosario at the controls.
Dayatthespa
She's another in here who carries a G1 credential with her and going to look for the Brown barn to have her ready to run a big one while shipping her here for this; it's a little bit of a concern to see how carefully she's been managed this year, but she has had some trouble finding a firm turf course to run over, and Brown has maintained that she's at her best over a firm course, and that might be a reason to upgrade her performance over a yielding turf at Keeneland last time; she had a horrifying trip when shipped here for this event last year.
Pianist
Viewing her as being the 'B' horse in here for the Brown barn, but there's very little to knock when looking at what she's done in her six starts this year while becoming a multiple graded stakes winner; she was a sharp winner in her latest outing and she's being reunited with Smith who has been aboard for a couple of her better performances; runner up from latest won next out at CD on 11/9 going 1 1/8m over turf in a G3 with a 92 Beyer.
Better Lucky
Her latest victory marked her second G1 win and she's seeking to become a repeat winner of this event; her fine positional speed usually helps her negotiate a comfortable trip and that can prove to be a key for her after breaking from the outside; note that in her G1 wins today's key rivals Tiz Flirtatious and Dayatthespa finished behind her.
Stormy Lucy
She's multiple G1 stakes placed racing over turf and feel that she's eligble to be ready for a top try while making the third start of her current form cycle; she was an easy winner in her latest start at GG and the runner up from that race returned to win next out at GG on 11/17 going 1m over turf vs. alw. rivals with an 84 Beyer; Enriquez has won with 27 of 108 (25%) mounts for this barn in 2013.

Race 9

Syndicated
Steps back in with older rivals in his local return after a solid late running placing behind a quick clip on the Santa Anita dirt with claimers; he draws the fence again while getting back to the venue of his maiden score in the spring; don't know that he'll be able to get more involved from the bell today; concern is that most of these have run signficantly faster.
Ambitious Brew
Statebred tries open company for the first time after getting his nose down to best restricted runners down the Santa Anita hill; gelding broke his maiden second time out 5 months back so the return to this footing should help and he's quick enough to secure a good spot early; can get in the exotics mix.
Charlie'sboywins
Enters this off a career best number while failing to threaten the money finishers in his local return and now he'll drop a level; off the pace type will need some pace help but he is a 4 time winner and maybe the figure he earned his last is a sign he's ready to move forward at what figures to be a big price.
Five Palms
Got up to score from a tracking spot in his well supported debut run here a few weeks back and now he'll try winners; his dam was a G2 SW sprinter and 721K earner so it wouldn't be a surprise if he had a move forward in him with the initial experience behind him; with a sharp half mile bullet in tow he's a huge repeat threat.
Wild Dude
Twice beaten chalk cuts back a bit while switching to a top East coast based pilot for another crack at this level; return to synthetic footing can help as the number he earned in the Del Mar maiden breaker was stakes quality; from a better post today he's a contender.
Justa Runner
Barn's second runner in here got caught arguing the fractions in his local return after flopping in 2 dirt spins prior to that one; his pilot opts to side with outfit's other runner in here and there is other lick in here but he draws inside those who figure to hound him and maybe that helps.
Jovita's Tuffy
Gelding looked professional in taking his maiden first out over the track in the spring but failed to finish his first with winners on the green 5 months back and hasn't been sighted since; he's been working well on dirt for his return so he figures to be in condition to get back on his game and he should get some pace to run at in this spot.
Kochees
Sophomore is working sharply for his second start back from 8 months on the shelf after getting beaten less than 2 lengths at the level down the Santa Anita hill; he's yet to set foot on synthetic footing and neither of his main track tries was anytthing special; if he takes to the new surface maybe he gets involved for a share, but prefer others on the win end.
Big Macher
Statebred has been pretty good in his last couple of starts and now he'll cut back a half panel for the return to open company; like the fact he was able to rate and still run well this summer and maybe they employ those tactics today; consider.
Yankee Rebel
Exits a couple of solid hillside tries and now he'll move back to synthetic footing; ran well on the Del Mar main track at this trip and level amd he'll get a switch to a top pilot for this one; price figures to be right.
Got Even
Cal bred failed to compete late in his first start in 10 months but he did return to work well for his local return and will cut back a half panel for this; gelding was quite good last year and he boasts an easy win over the local main track, but his best game is speed and it won't be easy to win this on the front end from out here.
Demonic
He's been idle for nearly 11 months since breaking his maiden as the chalk first time out at Santa Anita; 400K yearling buy is out of a SW dam who dropped G2 SP, SW and 377K earner Silver Edition so with some sharp recent return drills in tow it wouldn't be much of a surprise if he were ready to roll and run these down.

Race 10

Ransom Canyon
Respect hot claim-box item; he's been in some good barns, is back on the preferred surface and he has run well here without cashing; inside again, the lone win came at Tampa when the blinks were off, just like today; there seems to be plenty of speed in here to promote the kick; don't ignore.
Copper Bay
Second time under the purchase price did the trick in last; like the way he was getting to the winner in last and note the place horse on 10/4 won next out in a $40K claimer, then ran out of the money; steadied three back, wide in 3 of the last 4, son-in-law re-hired; look out.
Very Unusual
First time offered for sale since he changed barns in July; would expect bug to be sending hard but there are others with designs on the top today; troubled in last pair, he is due for a trip; just not sure the race sets up all that great for him.
Moonlit Meteor
Malibu Moon about 10% with first-time grass runners in a 425-runner sample; sire graduated in second start at 2 at 5 furlongs on dirt for only win in 2-race career; dam won twice, short and long on dirt and was 2nd in best turf result; all 4 siblings won including Shy Baby, a one-time turf winner and over $200K player; 8th finisher in last took a $12.5K N2L at GG next out, the winner repeated in a $16K claimer here and 3 others ran 2nd; legit player.
Will He Amaze
Toss Pomona race two back, there are a lot of ways to get beat at that place; clever maiden breaker taking the overland route in last and nothing wrong with the series of drills since; one angle to think about: this runner is kin to over $700K earner Willow O Wisp, who was trained by Cerin for major Graded wins.
Dancin Upside Down
The way he was extending in the maiden breaker suggests this trip will be within his realm; connections thought enough of him to try the stakes last year; love fact he has natural speed and he could show even more with the blinks today; can t fault those that project a theft attempt.
Warren's Big Cat
The lone win came going 8 and a half furlongs against 5 foes when he came from dead last, had a length and a half at the top of the lane to hold on by a half-length with a 68 Beyer; the 9/18 winner repeated on the drop into a $10K seller, then lost next pair; this rider was up for the lone Van Berg win this year when victorious by a three quarters in an N2X on grass at 12-1; Jack has had some nice meets during the fall here over the years.
Sharp Richard
Gelding has been carefully placed after proving he belongs on this circuit; the trailer of the 9/12 race took a $15K N3L next out, then was in the money twice; the place horse 9/12 took a $25K N2L at Hawthorne next out, then was 2nd beaten 3 quarters in a $60K FG stakes; the 9/12 winner clicked again in an N1X in Phoenix, then was out of the money there in a $35K stakes; all systems go.
Meringue Pie (GB)
Under the purchase price for the first time, he s never been this low and note he bobbled at the break in the beach finale; lace horse in last took a $62.5K claimer next out here and 9th finisher took a $20K GG seller; don't sell too short.
Londinium
Nice to see a smaller barn like Aquirre's hold up with the huge outfits; gelding must prove it on grass but he was getting to the winner in last and note the 7/20 winner took a $50K claimer next out, then ran out of the money; contention goes deep.
Sizzlin' Joe
Life and death for the lone and has only been able to better that figure twice since; the 8/28 place horse cashed next out in an N1X, then was third beaten just over a length in a $32K claimer; note Rosario 5 for 19 in the last year of so when getting a leg up from Jones.
Rule Breaker (IRE)
Only 10-1 off the extended layoff in the SA finale and at least he was pushing the issue that day; the win came in a 7 and a half furlong turf fray in the bushes in England over 9 in 1:33 1/5 with an 86 Racing Post Rating; interesting.
Perfect Jersey
Some like this kind of play figuring the runner now has the confidence to go on, but that can be a slippery slop; a trio exited the 10/17 race to graduate next out and the place horse in last held by a nose in a maiden $30K at TUP with a 64 Beyer; he was cut out to be a nice horse as he is kin to Grade 1 winner and over $800K player Jersey Town; could be compromised by the slot today.
