Bernier: Del Mar pick four play for Wednesday, Aug. 27
Race 6
* Myrna Lou is strictly the horse to beat in this heat. She’s the only filly in the field with multiple wins, and she’s displayed an affinity for the Polytrack at Del Mar. It can’t be overlooked that Tiago Pereira has been aboard for each of the wins this daughter of Top Hit has earned – and they’ve both been by open lengths.
A: No. 7 Myrna Lou
B: No. 8 Wedding Blush
C: No. 1 Oh Deann, No. 2 Rosie Brown, No. 5 Racing for Chasen

Race 7
* Although Watch It Buster will be stretching out to two turns for the first time, he projects to be coming from off the pace and he certainly doesn’t catch the toughest group of runners you’ve ever seen.
* Hidden Zensation won his maiden last out when in for $20,000, and while this will be quite the class test, he figures to be forwardly placed by Kent Desormeaux and could prove dangerous turning for home.
A: No. 2 Watch It Buster, No. 7 Hidden Zensation
B: No. 6 Secret Command, No. 9 Sir Macho
C: No. 4 Songforjohnmichael, No. 10 Maxx the Giant
Race 8
* Desert Steel could prove to be the controlling speed. If they’re going to win, they’ll have to run her down on the front end.
* Lost Bus projects to sit the perfect stalking trip, and she’s likely to get first run on the closers – which could ultimately be the difference maker.
* My Fiona is still very green, but she showed in her latest victory that she’s a legit runner. If she can change leads earlier and on cue, she’ll be closing furiously.
A: No. 4 Desert Steel, No. 9 Lost Bus, No. 10 My Fiona
B: No. 7 Easter Fever, No. 8 Long Hot Summer
Race 9
* Wistful Woman debuts for trainer Jerry Hollendorfer, and she’s been training steadily for quite some time. Fitness shouldn’t be an issue, and it appears some of the class droppers have red flags.
* Devil’s Beauty debuts for trainer Vann Belvoir who has done well with 2-year-old first-time starters in maiden-claiming events in the past (6 for 28 over the past four years). The outside post benefits a first-time starter, and again – it’s not as if she needs to be a superstar.
A: No. 2 Wistful Woman, No. 10 Devil’s Beauty
B: No. 1 Daddy’s Duo, No. 7 Mucho Blessings, No. 9 Motor’n Mona
C: No. 5 Lamist
