Bentornato gearing up for return

Bentornato, who won the first four starts of his career last year at Gulfstream Park, is gearing up for a return to racing after his February journey to Saudi Arabia.
He was freshened after finishing third in the Grade 3 Saudi Derby. Forever Young, winner of the Saudi Derby, returned to run third by a head in the Kentucky Derby.
“Bentornato, he’s doing very well,” trainer Jose D’Angelo said. “He ran big to me. We gave him time, he recovered good after the race, and now we’re just waiting for him.
“I think like in two months, he’s going to be ready again. I’m not pointing him for any race yet. I’ll just have him ready and we’ll go” from there.

Bentornato won two divisions of the Florida Sire Stakes last season for owner Leon King Stable Corp.
No More Time, another young stakes winner for the D’Angelo barn, is rehabbing in Ocala, Fla. The horse sustained a condylar fracture while working for this year’s Kentucky Derby.
“He’s on the farm,” D’Angelo said. “He’s doing very well. We’re just waiting for him, when he’s ready. We’re giving him all the time that he needs.”
No More Time won this year’s Grade 3 Sam F. Davis and was second by a neck in the Tampa Bay Derby.
