Ben Z Rolls, a 17-1 outsider, rallied down the center of the track for a half-length victory in the $50,000 Ontario County Stakes on Monday at Finger Lakes. The winner was allowed to settle in last under Kevin Navarro as Morning Breez took the field through an opening quarter-mile in 22.32 seconds, attended closely by What a Catch. P J Advantage, who had stalked the top two through a half-mile in 45.67, began to advance on the outside around the turn and took a narrow lead into the stretch. Meanwhile, Ben Z Rolls was just getting underway and gained steadily to get up in the final strides. P J Advantage was second, two lengths in front of What a Catch, in the six-furlong race for New York-bred 3-year-olds. Ben Z Rolls, a son of Mission Impazible, completed the distance in 1:11.56 and returned $36.60 as the longest shot in the five-horse field.  Joseph L. Maloney bred and campaigns Ben Z Rolls, who is trained by Anthony Ferraro.
