ELMONT, N.Y. – The entire lineup for Saturday’s Belmont Stakes trained over the main track for the first time on Wednesday, beginning shortly after 5:30 a.m. with likely favorite Essential Quality and ending several hours later with Hot Rod Charlie and Rombauer, two of his chief rivals, going through their paces following the renovation break. The final pre-Belmont workout also took place, with the Japanese invader France Go de Ina getting in his lone official breeze since the Preakness after having blown out through the stretch and into the clubhouse turn on Saturday. France Go de Ina was timed five furlongs from the half in 1:02.34 after two-minute licking an eighth of a mile prior to beginning the work. Reserved early and fanned five to six paths wide leaving the turn, France Go de Ina picked up his pace when sharply roused to and through the wire, completing his final three furlongs in 36.56. France Go de Ina began the drill equipped with four silicone compression wraps, which he appears to wear on a regular basis. He crossed the wire with none, all four flying off at various junctures along the way. :: Access exclusive morning workout reports and get an edge on Belmont Stakes Day with DRF Clocker Reports  Although he figures to benefit from his U.S. bow in the Preakness, France Go de Ina’s local stay hasn’t gone smoothly and he’s shown little here to suggest he’ll improve enough to have anything more than perhaps an impact on the pace scenario in this contentious lineup. Essential Quality put in a very easy gallop, completing nearly a full circuit of the 1 1/2-mile main track, while getting his first feel for the local surroundings since arriving in town Tuesday morning. Trainer Brad Cox commented several hours later that Essential Quality couldn’t be doing any better coming up to the race. Essential Quality had barely left the track when trainer Todd Pletcher’s Belmont trio of Overtook, Bourbonic, and Known Agenda came out to gallop 1 1/2 miles, going simultaneously and in that order. All three made favorable appearances, with Bourbonic catching the eye and eventually Overtook as well, showing a high energy level while particularly full of run down the long stretch. Rock Your World, who was eliminated shortly after the start of the Derby, has continued to train forwardly since arriving from the West Coast earlier this week. He was the last of the Belmont hopefuls to train prior to the renovation break. :: Get DRF's Betting Strategies for exclusive picks and analysis from our expert handicappers.  I can’t fault Hot Rod Charlie or Rombauer, who had their training sessions over the freshly harrowed strip shortly before 9 a.m. Both came over to the main oval today after galloping on the training track the previous morning. Hot Rod Charlie looked particularly good, equipped in blinkers and accompanied to the track by his pal Lava Man. He was asked to put a lot more into his session this morning than Rombauer, who continues to be in maintenance mode coming off his huge effort winning the Preakness less than three weeks earlier.
