ELMONT, N.Y. - Trainer Todd Pletcher spent the majority of Monday morning at Belmont Park sending out platoons of juveniles for workouts for upcoming stakes events.

Shanghai Bobby, the leader of the East Coast’s 2-year-old division, worked four furlongs in 49.50 seconds in company with the maiden winner Tizracer. They went together through a quarter in 25.48 and got their final quarter in 24.02 while galloping out five furlongs in 1:02.01.

Shanghai Bobby is pointing to the Grade 1 Champagne on Oct. 6, while Tizracer is headed to the Breeders’ Futurity at Keeneland the same day.

Archwarrior and Micromanage, both of whom won their debuts at Saratoga, worked five furlongs in company in 1:00.22. Archwarrior is a definite for the Champagne, while Micromanage is possible for that spot or the Dover Stakes at Delaware Park.

Dreaming of Julia, who has dominated her competition in her first two starts, worked an easy half-mile in 49.97 on Monday morning by herself over the training track. She went her first quarter in 25.11 and her second quarter in 24.88 while galloping out five furlongs in 1:03.22. She is being pointed to the Grade 1 Frizette on Oct. 6.

“She’s very steady and she’ll breeze as fast as you ask her to go,” Pletcher said. “She has a good mile race under her belt. She’s on a maintenance program at the moment. I was just looking for an easy half – thought she went well.”

Kauai Katie, who like Dreaming of Julia is owned by Stonestreet Stable, worked five furlongs in 1:00.20 in company with the older stakes-winning mare Mildly Offensive in preparation for Sunday’s Grade 2, $200,000 Matron Stakes.

Pletcher also is running Unabashed in the Matron. On Monday, she worked four furlongs in 48.10 at Saratoga.
