Belmont pick-six has $121,889 carryover going into Sunday's card
ELMONT, N.Y. - The pick-six went unhit for a second consecutive card at Belmont Park, resulting in a carryover of $121,889 into Sunday’s nine-race program.
The ticket-busting horse in Saturday’s sequence was the first-time starter Startowne Road ($41.10), trained by Carlos Figueroa Jr. and ridden to victory by Katie Davis. Still, there were live tickets to a pair of horses entering the final leg. It looked like there was going to be one winner of the pick-6, but Bourboncentric got run down late by Gilbane ($6.52) resulting in the carryover.
The consolation payout (5 of 6) was $734.88. Other winners in the sequence included Paradise Valley ($10.68), Chris’s Song ($7.92), Doubting Thomas ($9.62), and Third Coast ($13.62).
Sunday’s pick-6 begins in Race 4 and includes four races scheduled for the turf. There is rain in the forecast for Sunday so it is possible those races could be transferred to the Tapeta track.
