Belmont fall meet general admission tickets go on sale Thursday

A limited number of general admission tickets, priced at $50, will go on sale Thursday for the Sept. 18 opening-day card at Belmont Park, as the New York Racing Association announced on Tuesday ticketing and admission plans for the upcoming fall meet.
The opening-day card, which is expected to feature a showdown between champions Sovereignty and Forever Young in the Grade 1, $1 million Jockey Club Gold Cup, is largely an invitation-only event. The limited number of general admission tickets, which includes complimentary food and beverage options and a commemorative program, will be available for purchase at 10 a.m. Thursday at NewBelmont.com.
Proceeds from all Sept. 18 tickets sales will be dedicated to the NYRA Foundation, a philanthropic effort designed to raise funding and awareness for the work of non-profits, service providers, Thoroughbred aftercare groups, and charitable organizations connected to horse racing in New York State.
General admission tickets for the cards of Sept. 19-20 will be $10. Since the new Belmont Park will not be completely finished - only the first two floors will be open as well as most outdoor areas - attendance for those three days will be capped at 6,000. Belmont plans to open floors 3 through 5 during the first quarter of 2027.
Beginning Sept. 24, attendance will be capped at 4,000 until further notice. Starting with the cards of Sept. 24, general admission to Belmont will cost $7 when purchased in advance and $10 if purchased on race day.
The first two floors will include bars and concession areas such as Big Red's, Homestretch Market, Silks, and the Trackside Lounge, along with premium dining and hospitality areas, including the Turf Club Restaurant and Lounge, The Overlook, and The Stretch View.
During the fall meet, general admission will provide fans with access to grandstand seats - excluding Sept. 18-20, Sept. 26, and Oct. 3, 24 and 31 - the first floor of the grandstand and outdoor areas, including the backyard, paddock viewing areas, and apron.
In addition to general admission, fans can select from various season-pass plans for the fall meet.
A Fall Meet pass ($185) provides admission to 45 race days at the equivalent of approximately $4 a day. A Fall Weekender Pass ($99) includes admission for 24 weekend days, covering every Saturday and Sunday from Sept. 19 through Dec. 6. A Superfecta Flex Pass, for $20, includes four self-selected race days that may be redeemed at any time throughout the fall meet, excluding opening day.
Reserved trackside grandstand seating will be available for $50 per day on the following six high-demand dates - Sept. 19-20 and 26, Oct. 3, 24, and 31. Reserved grandstand seating will include a $25 food and beverage credit for use that day.
Parking, which NYRA encourages should be purchased in advance, will be available in the Silver A-B lot, Gold lot, and Emerald lot. Parking lots will open one hour prior to admission gates.
First post for the Sept. 18 opening-day card will be 1:30 p.m. For September, first post on Saturdays will be 12:05 p.m. and 1:10 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
