Vulnerable FavoriteAfter trying but failing twice against Jersey-bred maidens, it appears that Pletcher Inc. is pretty much giving up on MAKE ME A PROPHET (#7, 2-1) by dropping her to the bottom of the mdn.-claiming barrel. It’s a move that speaks of a quiet desperation, as does the addition of blinkers (what else can we do?) … let’s definitely go against. Looks like the filly right alongside, Myperfectvalentine, is the leader in the clubhouse among those most likely to defeat this Pletcher miss. – Marty McGee Spot PlayFLAMINGO LANE (#6, 8-1) is likely to improve second time back from an extended layoff; low-profile connections boost her price. – Byron King

Spot PlayMADAKET MILLIE (#6, 8-1) This daughter of Giant’s Causeway held her own nicely against newly graded stakes winner, Kitten Kaboodle, on September 30th over the Belmont main track. She may have trouble winning this race first time out but the talent is there to round out exotics at a price. - Mike Vesce

Live LongshotSENTIMENTAL LASS (#4, 5-1): Freshened mare has changed hands since checking at the break of a small stake at Finger Lakes, and returns on a surface over which she has won three times from seven starts, including an allowance score in the slop. -Dave Litfin
