All-sources handle at the Belmont at the Big A meet that ran from Sept. 11 through Nov. 2 was $235,332,799, down 10.3 percent from the 2024 meet figure of $262,241,609, according to figures provided by the New York Racing Association. Each meet consisted of 30 racing days (after cancellations), with the 2025 meet conducting  280 races compared to 285 in 2024. Both meets were blessed by good weather which forced only seven scheduled turf races at each one to be transferred to the dirt. There were 130 turf races run this fall compared to 126 during the 2024 fall season. Average field size for turf races at the 2025 meet was 9.02 compared to 7.10 for dirt races. At the 2024 meet, it was 9.30 for turf, 7.61 for dirt. Ontrack handle at the 2025 Belmont at the Big A fall meet was $22,159,502, down 3.2 percent from the $22,887,403 handled last fall. This was the fourth year the Belmont fall meet was held at Aqueduct due to the ongoing renovation project at Belmont Park.
