Becca Taylor scores at 1-5 in Spring Fever

ARCADIA, Calif. -- Six races into her career, Becca Taylor remains perfect.
Monday at Santa Anita, Becca Taylor won her second stakes, and remained unbeaten, in the $100,000 Spring Fever Stakes for California-bred fillies and mares at six furlongs.
Ridden by Flavien Prat, the heavily favored Becca Taylor ($2.40) was always near the front and pulled clear in early stretch to win by 1 1/4 lengths over early pacesetter Omg It’s Jessica.
“She broke so well,” Prat said. “I figured someone would go with me.
“She was comfortable and she made a good run. When she got to the front, she does the minimum.”
Becca Taylor was timed in 1:10.86 and earned a Beyer Speed Figure of 80.

“At least we tried,” jockey Victor Espinoza said. “This was a good race for her.”
