Beautiful Trauma should improve in second start following layoff
RACE REPLAY IS NOT AVAILABLE
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Beautiful Trauma, a tired fourth when returning from a layoff of more than nine months at Keeneland last month, stands to show marked improvement with that race under her belt when facing five other fillies and mares in the nominal Thursday feature at Churchill, an $89,000, second-level allowance at 1 1/16 miles.
Tom Amoss is the trainer of Beautiful Trauma, whose final start as a 2-year-old of 2019 resulted in a 16-length allowance romp at Fair Grounds. The effort yielded a 91 Beyer Speed Figure, still the highest among those she’ll be facing in the seventh of 10 races.
One other allowance (race 9) also is carded for Thursday, an $87,000, first-level turf route that drew an oversubscribed lineup of 3-year-olds and up. First post is 1 p.m. Eastern.
