Civil Union went 3 for 3 over Belmont’s turf last year. Harvey’s Lil Goil has yet to race at Belmont.
Trainer Chad Brown has a pair in the Beaugay – Lemista, a Group 2 winner in Ireland, and Nay Lady Nay, a four-time stakes winner who was eighth in the BC Filly and Mare Turf.
Platinum Paynter and Thankful complete the field.
◗ Malathaat, the Kentucky Oaks winner, returned to the track Tuesday for a jog and galloped Wednesday at Belmont Park.
Trainer Todd Pletcher is pleased with how well Malathaat has come out of the Oaks, but he has not yet confirmed Malathaat’s next start. He has said the Belmont Stakes on June 5 will be considered.
