Be Vewy Vewy Quiet tries turf in Bold Ruckus Stakes

ETOBICOKE, Ontario – Be Vewy Vewy Quiet will make his turf debut in Sunday’s $100,000 Bold Ruckus Stakes for Ontario-sired 3-year-olds over six furlongs at Woodbine.
A two-time stakes winner last season, Be Vewy Vewy Quiet made his 3-year-old debut with a fifth-place finish in the Woodstock Stakes on May 5 over six furlongs on Tapeta. Trainer Robert Tiller opted to add blinkers for the Woodstock but was not pleased with the result and is removing them.
“He ran horrible,” Tiller said. “So, I freshened him up, and now I’m trying to run him on turf. He’s doing well.”
Be Vewy Vewy Quiet will be looking to regain the form that powered him to stakes wins last season in the Clarendon over 5 1/2 furlongs and the Frost King over seven furlongs. Eurico Da Silva, who rode him to a runner-up finish in the Bull Page Stakes last fall, regains the mount.
