Bay Ridge rescheduled; Robb doesn't fill
OZONE PARK, N.Y. – The cancellation of Thursday’s card due to track condition forced the New York Racing Association to once again have to reschedule the $100,000 Bay Ridge Stakes. The 1 1/8-mile race for New York-bred fillies and mares, lost when the Jan. 1 card was canceled, is now scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 18.
Meanwhile, the Alex M. Robb, lost when the Dec. 31 card was canceled, was supposed to be brought back for Sunday. However, the race only drew four entrants and was not carded. It is expected to be brought back at a later date.
The $100,000 East View, which had been scheduled for Dec. 28 and then rescheduled for Jan. 7, drew a field of nine and will be run Sunday.
English Soul and Purely Lucky, the 1-2 finishers from a Nov. 22 allowance race here, head the field.
