Barretts selected 2-year-old sale catalog now online

The catalog for the 2015 Barretts sale of selected 2-year-olds in training is now available online, featuring a group of 116 offerings.

The one-day sale will be held Monday, Feb. 23 in the Hinds Pavilion located on the grounds of Fairplex Park in Pomona, Calif., beginning at 2 p.m. Pacific. The pre-sale under-tack show will be held Friday, Feb. 20 at Fairplex Park, beginning at 10 a.m.

Last year’s sale featured a catalog of 140 horses, marking a 17 percent decrease from the previous sale to the upcoming renewal.

The Barretts’ sale of selected 2-year-olds in training has produced prominent alumni including Awesome Gem, Brocco, Brother Derek, Dubai Escapade, Henny Hughes, Honour and Glory, Officer, River’s Prayer, Royal Anthem, Sharp Cat, Squirtle Squirt, Suni, Testa Matta, Unbridled’s Song and Yes It’s True.

Among the sires with juveniles represented in the catalog are Afleet Alex, Awesome Again, Big Drama, Broken Vow, Congrats, Curlin, Distorted Humor, Dunkirk, Eskendreya, Flatter, Ghostzapper, Gio Ponti, Hard Spun, Haynesfield, Into Mischief, Lemon Drop Kid, Line of David, Lookin at Lucky, Lucky Pulpit, Macho Uno, Malibu Moon, More Than Ready, Munnings, Pioneerof the Nile, Rip Van Winkle, Scat Daddy, Sidney’s Candy, Sky Mesa, Smart Strike, Speightstown, Street Boss, Street Sense, Super Saver, Tale of the Cat, Temple City, Tiznow, Trappe Shot, Twirling Candy, Unbrdled’s Song, Uncle Mo and Yes It’s True.
