ARCADIA, Calif. &ndash; Barretts Sales will conduct a training preview on July 22 for the unraced 2&#45;year&#45;olds who will be offered at the paddock sale at Del Mar on July 23.The 2&#45;year&#45;olds will work three to five furlongs after the completion of normal training hours at Del Mar on July 22, according to Barretts general manager Kim Lloyd.Horses at most previews for 2&#45;year&#45;old sales work one or two furlongs.&ldquo;Hopefully, these will be more like morning workouts,&rdquo; Lloyd said.Lloyd said on Friday that Barretts has yet to finalize the catalog for the paddock sale but estimates the sale will have about 30 horses of racing age. Of those, 15 to 20 will be juveniles, he said.This will be the fifth year for the paddock sale. The 2015 event saw 19 horses sell for an average of $38,342.◗ The Grade 1 stakes winner Stormy Lucy will be sold at the Fasig&#45;Tipton horses&#45;of&#45;racing&#45;age sale in Lexington, Ky., on July 11.Trainer Ed Moger said on Thursday that Stormy Lucy has a throat problem that led to the decision to sell the 7&#45;year&#45;old mare. Stormy Lucy has won 8 of 34 starts and earned $831,770. A former maiden claimer, Stormy Lucy won the Grade 1 Matriarch Stakes at Del Mar last November.Stormy Lucy won consecutive stakes at Santa Anita in early 2014 &ndash; the Santa Ana and Santa Barbara stakes on turf. She was second in the Buena Vista Stakes in February in her most recent start. Owned by Ed&rsquo;s brother Steve, Stormy Lucy is by Stormy Atlantic.
