Barretts moves May juvenile sale date

The 2015 Barretts May sale of 2-year-olds in training and horses of racing age has been moved to Thursday, May 28, with the presale under-tack show scheduled for Tuesday, May 26.

The auction was originally scheduled for May 27, with the breeze show planned for May 25. It will be Barretts’s first juvenile sale held at Del Mar after ending a 25-year residency at Fairplex Park with its select 2-year-olds in training sale in February.

Horses of racing age will be accepted into the May sale for the first time in 2015, expanding Barretts’s reach into that marketplace in addition to the paddock sale of “race-ready” horses in training at Del Mar in June and the fall yearling and horses of racing age sale in August.

Entries close for the May sale on Friday, April 3.
