Barretts January mixed sale catalog draws 197

The catalog for the Barretts January mixed sale is now available online, with 197 horses on offer.

The single-day auction will be held Wednesday, Jan. 20, beginning at 11 a.m. Pacific on the grounds of Del Mar racetrack. Horses will be stabled in the racetrack barns adjacent to the sales pavilion.

Included in the catalog are 60 broodmares, 63 2-year-olds, and 54 yearlings.

The sale features 18 horses, including 11 newly-turned yearlings, from the estate of Elwood Johnston & Berumen dispersal, handled as agent by Havens Bloodstock.

Stallions represented by their first crop of yearlings in the Barretts January catalog include Champ Pegasus, Shanghai Bobby, and Smiling Tiger. First-year covering stallions include Boisterous, Clubhouse Ride, He Be Fire N Ice, and Lakerville.

Supplemental entries will be taken until two weeks prior to the auction, with a Jan. 6 deadline for consideration in the sale.
