Barbaro heads to Pimlico

Barbaro, the Kentucky Derby winner, left Fair Hill training center in Elkton, Md., at 1:15 p.m. Eastern time Friday en route to Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore for the 131st Preakness Stakes on Saturday.

His van was expected to arrive an hour later at the racetrack, where he was scheduled to take up residence in the stakes barn. On Friday morning, Barbaro jogged two miles under his regular exercise rider, Peter Brette, at the training center.
