Banke, Lear, and Rankin elected to Jockey Club Board of Stewards

Barbara Banke, William Lear, and Alex Rankin have been elected to the 10-member Board of Stewards at The Jockey Club, the organization announced on Monday.
Lear, the vice chairman of The Jockey Club and the chairman emeritus of the Lexington law firm Stoll Keenon Ogden, was re-elected to a four-year term. Lear is also on the board of the Keeneland Association.
Banke had previously served a four-year term on the Board of Stewards that expired in 2020. She is the owner of Stonestreet Stables and serves on the boards of a number of prominent racing organizations, including the Breeders’ Cup and Keeneland.
Rankin is the chairman of Churchill Downs Inc. and the founder of Upson Downs Farm in Goshen, Ky. He has a been a Member of The Jockey Club since 2016.
