Trainer Ronny Werner is hoping that Bandora is back to her old self when she faces a field of 10 other allowance foes, including two entries, in the feature at Parx Racing on Tuesday. The 6 1/2-furlong event is for fillies and mares who have not won a race other than maiden, claiming, or starter or have never won two races lifetime. A 4-year-old Dixieland Band filly, Bandora won her maiden race April 9, 2009, at Keeneland, going the same 6 1/2-furlong distance. In her next out May 14, she finished second at Churchill in an allowance event. Werner next brought her to then Philadelphia Park for her only local start, a third in the $200,000 Jostle on June 13 of last year. Bandora then was shipped to Monmouth for the $70,000 Serena’s Song, where she finished third as well. A return to her form of any of those four events should be good enough to win Tuesday. In her only start this year, Bandora was a well-beaten sixth at Delaware Park on Sept.  14 in an allowance event. She has been working well locally recently. Stewart Elliott will ride for the first time. Should Werner not have Bandora ready, Michael Lerman sends out a pair of fillies. Heroic Pursuit won her maiden at first asking by 16 1/2 lengths last year locally. The 4-year-old has not win since her debut, but has missed the board only once in seven lifetime starts. In her most recent outings in June, she finished second in a pair of allowance races at Delaware Park. Lerman also sends out Ipso Facto, a maiden claiming winner in her last at Delaware Park. Harry Vega is listed as the rider on both parts of the entry. The lone filly in the race to have won more than two races is Thatsallshewrote. A 3-year-old Yes It’s True filly, she has reeled off wins in three of her last four races and 6 of 15 lifetime. On Aug. 13, Thatsallshewrote was claimed by trainer Ramon Preciado for Victory Thoroughbreds LLC. She won that claiming race at Monmouth Park and then another there Sept. 12. Preciado then brought Thatsallshewrote to Parx and she won a starter allowance event Sept. 28. In her last local out she finished fourth on Oct. 17.
