Angled off the rail out of the second turn, Ballymore Lady responded to strong handling by jockey Jose Lezcano and prevailed in a four-horse photo with Elusive Lady, Sousaphone, and Audacious Chloe for a hard-earned neck victory in the Grade 3, $125,000 Endeavour Stakes on Saturday's Sam Davis undercard at Tampa Bay Downs. Trained by Eddie Kenneally, Ballymore Lady ($14.80) covered the 1 1/16 miles over a firm turf course in 1:42.37 to emerge from a blanket finish with her seventh career win and her second from as many starts over the local course. Elusive Lady, who set most of the fractions, came on again in the drive under Joe Bravo to nose out 45-1 longshot Sousaphone for second. Audacious Chloe, making her first start since October, finished a head behind Sousaphone in fourth. w Rock Candy won her third straight race of the meet by defeating Ameribelle by a neck in the $75,000 Suncoast for 3-year-old fillies. Favored Don't Forget Gil finished another neck back in third after breaking through the gate prior to the start along with Dzibanche and Boom Town Sally. Boom Town Sally unseated her rider, ran off, and was scratched. Rock Candy ($10.20), ridden by Carlos Montalvo for trainer Mike Zwiesler, covered the mile and 40 yards in 141.22.
