Baffert will seek fourth Test score with Explora

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Trainer Bob Baffert will try for a fourth victory in the Grade 1 Test Stakes when he sends out Explora in Saturday’s seven-furlong race for 3-year-old fillies on dirt.
Baffert has won the Test with Indian Blessing (2008), Contested (2012), and Gamine (2020).
Explora, who finished fourth in the Kentucky Oaks, is coming off a 1 1/2-length victory in the Leslie’s Lady Stakes going seven furlongs at Churchill Downs on June 7.
Explora drew post 7 in a field of eight that includes Sippin Pretty and Goodall, the one-two finishers from the Grade 3 Victory Ride; multiple graded stakes winner On Time Girl; and recent allowance winners Movie Night and Where Luck Lives.
Grade 1 Ashland winner Percy’s Bar and Carmel Coast are cross-entered in the Test and Sunday’s $200,000 Audubon Oaks at Ellis Park.
