Bachman Stakes, take 2

The $10,000 Bachman Stakes, lost in last weekend's weather-related cancellations, has been brought back Sunday at Fonner Park. Six 3-year-olds will run in the half-mile dash.

My Secret Star, trained by Milton Gaede, should perform well in this competitive race off his win here Feb. 9. He was second in both the Capital City Futurity at Lincoln and the Club House Special at Columbus last year and opened this year's campaign with a three-quarter-length allowance win.

Favorite Rookie, trained by Ron Westermann, was third in last year's Club House Special and returned to win the Columbus Futurity for statebreds. He finished his 2-year-old season with an open allowance win at Atokad and makes his seasonal bow Sunday.
