Australia: Our Girl looks to continue win streak
The 6-year-old Australian mare Our Girl Eve went 21 races without a win from May of 2022 until a handicap at 1 1/4 miles at Coffs Harbour Racecourse on the Australian east coast on Sept. 18.
A week later, she won again in a one-mile handicap at Tamworth.

The suddenly red-hot Our Girl Eve can win her third consecutive start for the first time in her 45th appearance in the minor Spring Cup at 1 3/16 miles at Armidale Racecourse on Sunday evening. Our Girl Eve won two consecutive starts in 2021.
Our Girl Eve is a closer who will be ridden by apprentice jockey Zac Wadick in the Spring Cup. Wadick was aboard Our Girl Eve at Tamworth. His presence reduces the weight assignment to 122.3 pounds, well below the topweight of 130 for the outsider Chocolatier.
Our Girl Eve’s main rivals at Armidale are Den Moss and Hardyo.
Den Moss, quick enough to lead, was third in a lower-level handicap at 1 3/8 miles at Dubbo Racecourse on Sept. 29, and won his preceding start six days earlier in a handicap at 1 1/4 miles at Gunnedah.
Hardyo was second to Our Girl Eve at Tamworth on Sept. 25, closing from last of 10 to miss by a neck.
Armidale has a seven-race program beginning at 10:50 p.m. Eastern or 7:50 p.m. Pacific. Wagering is available through DRFBets.com.
