Australia: October Revolution seeks third straight victory in Monday handicap
Beginning in November, October Revolution had a rough start to his career in Australia, losing his first nine starts through March.
April was much kinder, with consecutive wins that have boosted the gelding’s career, leading to a potential third straight victory in a handicap at 5 1/2 furlongs at Port Macquarie Racecourse on the Australian east coast on Monday evening.
October Revolution is well suited to the distance, having won a maiden race at 6 1/4 furlongs at Taree on April 1, and a handicap at five furlongs at Port Macquarie on April 8. In those races, October Revolution closed from off the pace, winning by a nose and three-quarters of a length.

The race at Port Macquarie drew a field of 11. Ben Looker, who was aboard for the win at Port Macquarie on April 8, will ride October Revolution for trainer Neil Godbolt.
October Revolution is a stalker who may be in pursuit of the 4-year-old gelding Outreach to Henry, who has led in some of his recent starts. A winner of 2 of 8 races, Outreach to Henry is being given a much-needed drop in class after finishing fourth and 10th against tougher competition in recent weeks, his only starts this year.
Outreach to Henry won his final start of 2022 in a five-furlong handicap at Taree last November, closing from off the pace. He won a maiden race at 5 1/2 furlongs at Port Macquarie last October while leading throughout.
The stalkers include the 4-year-old filly Star of Shalaa, who has won 2 of 22 starts. Star of Shalaa was third in a five-furlong handicap at Coffs Harbour on May 5 in her first start since November. She won at 5 1/2 furlongs earlier in her career.
Port Macquarie has a nine-race program beginning at 9:45 p.m. Eastern, or 6:45 p.m. Pacific. Wagering is available through DRFBets.com.
