Drying conditions in Australia may suit Invincible Lad in a handicap at five furlongs on turf at Wyong Racecourse on Thursday. In recent weeks, many race meetings have been contested on soft or heavy turf courses in Australia. The turf course at Wyong on Thursday is expected to be rated as good. Invincible Lad, a 4-year-old Southern Hemisphere gelding, has not raced since December 2018. He won consecutive races at five furlongs on good turf in July and August of that year and was third in his final three starts before the lengthy layoff.  Trained by Peter and Paul Snowden, Invincible Lad has finished third and sixth in recent barrier trials, or training races from the gate. Thursday, Invincible Lad is part of a field of 10 in the handicap, the fifth of six races at Wyong Racecourse. First post time is 11:15 p.m. Eastern, or 8:15 p.m. Pacific, on Wednesday. Corcra, a winner of 2 of 6 starts, won for the second time in his last three outings in a handicap at 5 1/2 furlongs as the 3-5 favorite on March 29 at Nowra Racecourse.
