Australia: Ellenmac tries to get back on winning track in Warwick Farm
Ellenmac won two of her first three starts of the season, but has lost her last seven races. She could end that losing streak Tuesday in a handicap at a mile at Warwick Farm.
Trained by Matthew Smith, who is based at Warwick Farm, Ellenmac is part of a competitive field of eight in the fourth race on a seven-race program that begins at 10:20 p.m. Eastern or 7:20 p.m. Pacific. Wagering is available through DRFBets.com.
Ellenmac closed from fifth to finish second, beaten less than a half-length, in a handicap at 7 1/2 furlongs at Rosehill Gardens on Nov. 16.

Ellenmac will be ridden Tuesday by Regan Bayliss, who has ridden the 4-year-old in her last two starts. Ellenmac is a threat from off the pace as is Kouklara, a 5-year-old mare who will be favored on the basis of a win in a handicap at 6 1/2 furlongs at Rosehill Gardens on Nov. 16 in her first start since July.
A winner of 3 of 17 starts, all for trainer Joseph Pride, Kouklara has won at 7 1/2 furlongs. The last time Kouklara raced at a mile, she finished sixth against a tougher level of handicap runners at Royal Randwick Racecourse in June.
The 3-year-old filly Thinking Rain is expected to set the pace, but could be challenged early by Dubai Showgirl and The Crimson Idol. Thinking Rain won her debut in July, but has lost her last four starts, including a fifth behind Ellenmac at Rosehill Gardens on Nov. 16.
Thinking Rain was beaten 2 1/2 lengths in that race, and could be a factor in this field if she does not face too much early pressure.
