Australia: De Grawin needs to leave inside post running at Nowra Racecourse
The speed De Grawin displayed to win a maiden race at five furlongs at Wyong Racecourse in Australia on June 4 will be vital to the filly’s chances in a handicap at the same distance at Nowra Racecourse on Tuesday.
De Grawin has drawn the rail in a field of nine, and may need to utilize that speed from the inside to establish position in her fourth career start and first race against winners.

Trained by Joseph Pride, De Grawin, a Southern Hemisphere 3-year-old, was third and second in maiden races in December and January, disputing the pace in her debut and stalking the pace in her second start. At Wyong, De Grawin prevailed by nearly a length as the 6-5 favorite.
De Grawin will carry joint top weight of 134.4 pounds in Tuesday’s handicap. The race is part of a seven-race program that begins at 10:40 p.m. Eastern, or 7:40 p.m. Pacific, on Monday.

Living Doll, a 5-year-old mare, won a handicap at 4 1/2 furlongs at Sapphire Coast Racecourse on May 3 and was third by two lengths in a five-furlong handicap at Moruya Racecourse on May 14.
Tuesday’s race will be the second start of the year for the three-time winner Garryfromthebull, a 5-year-old gelding. Garryfromthebull was sixth, beaten 2 1/2 lengths, in a five-furlong handicap at 30-1 at Goulburn Racecourse on May 29 in his first start since October.
Garryfromthebull, who will carry 131 pounds, is winless in seven starts since a six-furlong handicap at Newcastle in February 2019. Garryfromthebull typically runs from a stalking position. Shaun Guymer, who rode Garryfromthebull to a win in 2018, has the mount on Tuesday.
