Australia: Allez Rez, Reece Jones team again for Quindiri handicap
Allez Rez and jockey Reece Jones combined to win two handicaps in a 10-day period in December at Scone Racecourse in Australia.
The partnership of Allez Rez and jockey Kathy O’Hara was not as successful at Gosford Park on Dec. 29, when they finished third.
Jones is back aboard Allez Rez for a handicap at 7 1/4 furlongs at Quindiri Racecourse in the Australian countryside on Tuesday. The 7-year-old Australian-bred gelding rates an excellent chance to win for the third time in the last five weeks and for the fifth time in his 40th career start.
Allez Rez has had five starts for trainer Wayne Seelin since early November, having previously been based with trainer Evan Holland for an 18-month period ending last April. Allez Red won once in 22 starts for Holland.

Tuesday’s handicap drew a field of eight, with Allez Rez among the leading contenders. Salsa Man and Danebrook have attractive form.
Salsa Man was fourth behind Allez Rez at Gosford Park in his first start since July. Trained by Paul Perry, Salsa Man runs from well off the pace.
Danebrook was third as the 2-1 favorite in a six-furlong handicap at Invernell Racecourse on Jan. 1, an improvement from 10th in a field of 12 against tougher competition at Royal Randwick on Dec. 12.
Danebrook won a handicap at 4 3/4 furlongs at Moree Racecourse on Oct. 30, the gelding’s second win in three starts. He won a maiden race at 6 1/2 furlongs at Dubbo Racecourse in June.
This will be the first start since September for Continuation, who was second in consecutive starts as a heavy favorite in handicaps at 1 5/16 miles at Gosford on Aug. 28 and at 1 7/16 at Newcastle on Sept. 19.
Continuation is winless in three career starts at 7 1/4 furlongs, but was second twice in those races.
Quindiri has a six-race program beginning at 9:50 p.m. Eastern, or 6:50 p.m. Pacific, on Monday. Wagering and viewing is available through DRFBets.com.
