Australia: All Things looks sharp for Warwick Farm handicap
All Things started at 1 5/16 miles for the first time at Wyong Racecourse in Australia earlier this month and had an ideal performance, closing from fourth of 10 to win by a neck.
All Things, a 4-year-old Australian-bred gelding, understandably was given a higher handicap rating for the win, his second victory in his last three starts.
Even with the hike, from 60 to 64, All Things does not appear to have too much of a weight burden when he starts in a handicap at 1 5/16 miles on Wednesday at Warwick Farm Racecourse.
Trained by John Sargent, All Things will carry 127.8 pounds, well below topweight Tolemac at 134.4 pounds. All Things has won 2 of 7 starts and is in peak form. He won a maiden race in his fifth career start at a mile on May 9 at Newcastle and was fourth of five in a handicap at 1 3/16 miles on May 26 at Newcastle.
In the win on June 4 at Wyong, All Things was the 5-1 fourth choice in a field of 10 and carried top weight of 130 pounds.
In Wednesday’s race, All Things will be ridden for the first time by James McDonald, who is currently third in the jockey standings at tracks in the state of New South Wales through Saturday.

McDonald is likely to have All Things in a stalking position and could have a target in Tolemac, who has been in excellent form in recent months. Tolemac has won three of his last four starts since early April. A 4-year-old gelding, Tolemac led throughout a handicap at 1 3/16 miles last Thursday at Gosford Racecourse.
Wednesday’s handicap drew a field of nine, including Seporto, who was second to All Things on June 4. Seporto needed 16 races to record his first win, finally doing so May 21. He is likely to race as a stalker.
The seven-race Warwick Farm program begins at 10:50 p.m. Eastern, or 7:50 p.m. Pacific, on Tuesday. Wagering is available through DRFBets.com.
