Assiniboia Downs announces 50-day meet for 2025

Assiniboia Downs has announced that its 50-day 2025 meet will runs from May 13 to Oct. 8.

Racing will be conducted on Tuesdays and Wednesdays until June. Mondays will be added to the schedule on June 2, June 23, July 14, Aug. 4, Aug. 25, and Sept. 15. Post time is 7:30 p.m. Central for all dates.

Assiniboia is expected to have some of the lowest takeout rates in Canada this year, with win wagering at 14.65 percent and place at 17.95 percent. Show, daily double, exacta, Pick 3, and Jackpot Pick 5 wagers will all have a takeout rate of 19.95 percent. The popular Pick 4 is set at 15.95 percent.

“We have lowered most of our takeout rates for 2025,” said Sheri Glendinning, Assiniboia’s simulcast and program director.
