Asmussen's Southwest trio work
Coady Photography Smarty Jones winner Gold Street will most likely start next in the Southwest Stakes for trainer Steve Asmussen.
HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Gold Street, the winner of the $150,000 Smarty Jones at Oaklawn, and fellow stakes winners Shoplifted and Silver Prospector were all out for works Wednesday at Oaklawn. The trio is trained by Steve Asmussen, who has said all are likely to run back in the Grade 3, $750,000 Southwest here Feb. 17.

Gold Street worked in company with Shoplifted after the second renovation break, with the pair going five-eighths together in 1:01.60 on a sealed, muddy track. Silver Prospector also went in company after the break, going five-eighths in 1:00.60.
Entries for the Southwest will be taken Feb. 14.
