Asmussen well-stocked for Racing Festival of the South

Steve Asmussen, the leading trainer at Oaklawn, will be active in a number of stakes for the Racing Festival of the South. His first starters will come next Saturday in the Fantasy.
Asmussen said Terra Promessa, a winner of her last three starts, including the Grade 3 Honeybee at Oaklawn, is set to start under Ricardo Santana Jr. The barn also plans to send out Taxable, who is undefeated in two starts, among her wins a maiden special weight at Churchill Downs.
Cinco Charlie, the winner of the Duncan F. Kenner with a career-high Beyer Speed Figure of 103 in his last start Feb. 20 at Fair Grounds, is on deck for the Count Fleet next Sunday, said Asmussen.
Wrath of Ruthie, a dominant allowance winner last month at Oaklawn, is set for the $150,000 Carousel on April 14, said Asmussen. Untapable, he said, remains on course for the Apple Blossom on April 15.
Creator, the third-place finisher in the Rebel, is a go for the Arkansas Derby, said Asmussen, while Luna de Loco is possible for the 1 1/8-mile race. Carve, he said, is being considered for the Oaklawn Handicap.
