Asmussen back in entry box

Trainer Steve Asmussen will be back in business Saturday for the first time after a six-month suspension for a medication violation.

Horses from Asmussen's far-flung operation were entered at Turfway Park, Sam Houston, and Delta Downs for Saturday races. Fair Grounds, where Asmussen's main string will be, entered on Monday for Saturday's races, so assistant Scott Blasi will remain the trainer of record - as he had been during the suspension - there until Sunday.

Aqueduct and Gulfstream Park, two more places where Asmussen figures to have runners in coming weeks, were to draw their Saturday cards on Thursday.
