Arklow, Channel Maker top field for Sycamore Stakes

Barbara D. Livingston Arklow will be in his element going 1 1/2 miles on turf in the Sycamore Stakes on Friday at Keeneland.
A terrific lineup of older turf marathoners is set for the Grade 3, $300,000 Sycamore Stakes, the Friday feature at Keeneland.

Arklow and Channel Maker, a pair of 8-year-olds who have combined for more than $6.7 million in earnings, head an oversubscribed field. In all, 16 are entered but only as many as 12 can start in the three-turn, 1 1/2-mile turf fixture.
Other notables include Highland Chief, winner of the Grade 1 Man o’ War at Belmont Park in May, along with Red Knight, Admission Office, and Mira Mission, all of them graded winners.
