The Arkansas and Texas breeding programs have named award winners for 2022.   Mrs. Beans is the Arkansas-bred of the year, said Deana Echols, executive director of the Arkansas Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Horsemen’s Association. He won 5 of 13 starts last year, and earned $282,238. Mrs. Beans is a 5-year-old gelding by Cyber Secret who was bred by Sanders Brothers. The horse races for Danny Caldwell and is entered in Thursday's sixth race at Oaklawn Park. Echols said All About Allie, the multiple stakes-winning dam of Mrs. Beans, is the organization’s broodmare of the year for 2022. Echols said the 2022 breeder of the year in Arkansas is Shortleaf Stable. The state’s stallion of the year is Street Strategy.  :: Bet the races on DRF Bets! The 6-year-old daughter of Northern Afleet races for James Sills. Ronald and Margaret Ellerbee, who bred No Mas Tequila, were named the organization’s breeder of the year for 2022.
