Arctic Arrogance earned an 80 Beyer Speed Figure for his victory under Jose Lezcano in the Sleepy Hollow, which was run at a one-turn mile. The Remsen is run at 1 1/8 miles around two turns. “The other day he relaxed pretty well, and when Jose asked him, he shot away pretty nicely,” Rice said. “That’s what gives me the confidence to try him in the Remsen.” Rice said she is also looking at running the New York-bred filly Betsy Blue against open company in the Grade 3, $200,000 Go for Wand Handicap on that same Dec. 3 card. :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering?
